Coliseum named a top venue

The Allen County Memorial Coliseum has been named one of the top venues in North America.

The list, published in Venues Today magazine’s Social Media Power 100, placed the Coliseum in 99th place. More than 300 venues were measured and ranked, with additional points for Tweets, Facebook check-ins and group listings on Twitter. Scores were weighted for market size and facility type.

Among Central Hockey League host venues, the Memorial Coliseum, home of the Fort Wayne Komets, came in third behind the Tulsa Oilers and Wichita Thunder. Also home to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants and the IPFW Mastodons men’s basketball team, the Coliseum is the only host venue in the NBA D-League or the Summit League to be listed on the rankings.
