Chaulk is doing well

Komets captain Colin Chaulk said he feels well today, continues to pass his concussion testing and rode an exercise bike for 25 minutes.

He did not skate, however.

He will try to do so Friday, after which a decision will be made on his availability for Friday night's game against the Bloomington Blaze.

Chaulk suffered concussion-like symptoms when his head hit the ice following a fight with Bloomington's Ryan Palmer early in a 3-2 Komets victory Tuesday. (Read this, where Chaulk defends his decision to drop the gloves.)

Chaulk didn't return to the game but also hasn't failed a concussion test.

Had he, we wouldn't be discussing the possibility of him playing Friday, in accordance with most concussion guidelines I've seen outside of Rapid City, S.D.
