A while back a former colleague and I struck a deal. She had a niece on the way and wanted a handmade blanket. I have some blank spots on my walls and she's a terrific artist. I approached her and asked if she'd be interested in a trade: I'll make the blanket if you'll paint me some pictures. Well, the baby was six weeks early, and the blanket would have been late even if she'd have been born on her due date, but it is finally complete. I promise to post pictures of my art when my former colleague finishes it.
