Main Street in downtown Fort Wayne is scheduled to close to all westbound traffic between Clinton Street and Calhoun Street for several days.
The city Traffic Engineering Department announced Thursday that the closure will begin on Friday and continue through Sunday.
Eastbound traffic will not be affected on Friday, the department said, but eastbound traffic will also be closed on Saturday and Sunday.
The closure will allow the contractor, Current Mechanical, to erect a crane in the street to lift materials to the roof of the City-County Building.
The official detour will use Clinton, Berry and Calhoun streets for westbound traffic. Eastbound traffic will use Calhoun, Superior and Clinton streets.
