Home heavily damaged in fire

A home on Fort Wayne's southeast side sustained heavy fire and smoke damage in a fire Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to 803 Woodview Blvd. shortly before 2:10 p.m. When they arrived, heavy smoke was coming from the two-story house, according to a statement issued by the Fort Wayne Fire Department.

It said the fire was brought under control in 13 minutes.

No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The home is just south of Weisser Park.
