Pickup driver, 75, dies in rollover crash

A northeast Indiana man died early Thursday when his pickup truck rolled over and ended up on its top in a ditch, Indiana State Police said today.

Police said troopers were called to Beech Road north of Bourbon in rural Marshall County shortly after 6 a.m. after a passerby noticed tire tracks that left the roadway and disappeared into a ditch.

The troopers found a 1998 Ford F-150 pickup truck upside down in the ditch with about 6 inches of water, police said in a statement. It said the crash happened just south of 7th Road.

Louis J. Cady, 75, of Nappanee, died at the scene, the statement said. It said he was wearing a seat belt.
