‘MNF’ to switch to 2-man booth

BRISTOL, Conn. – Ron Jaworski will no longer be an analyst on “Monday Night Football” but has signed a five-year contract extension to appear on other ESPN programming. Announcer Mike Tirico and color commentator Jon Gruden will remain on board as ESPN switches to a two-man booth, the network said Wednesday.

Jaworski, a former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, will work various ESPN studio shows year-round, often focusing on his specialty of breaking down video.

Jaworski called “Monday Night Football” games the past five seasons. Gruden agreed to a five-year extension in October.
