Scoreless, but a good fight

The Komets and Allen Americans are scoreless after one period. The highlight was a nice, long fight between heavyweights David Starenky (Fort Wayne) and Brett Clouthier (Allen).

The Komets have outshot the Americans 18-15.

The Komets are playing two men short of a full lineup tonight. Colin Chaulk (concussion), Nick Boucher (suspension) and Bryant Molle (suspension) will not make the trip Sunday to Bloomington, Ill.
