Remember when one of the essential tasks of a game official was to leave the rabbit ears at the door?
Well, apparently Karl Hess skipped class that day in officials' school.
This after Hess violated established ACC protocol by independently ejecting a couple of North Carolina State fans who were, apparently, doing what fans do: ride the officials.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the worst of it for Hess. The two fans he happened to have ejected, it turns out, were Chris Corchiani and Tom Gugliotta -- who, as two of the best players in N.C. State history, just happen to have their retired jerseys hanging from the rafters in the RBC Center in Raleigh.
Nice work, ref.
