Shooter's Comments: This photo shoot was rather straightforward, but the trick was tracking down the people later to get their names.

With a packed church, it is quite easy to never find the person you took a photo of for the caption. Earlier, during the Ash Wednesday Mass, I was in the back of the church and noticed the Smith family.

When they came forward to receive an ash cross on their foreheads, I knew I would be able to track them down.

I used the existing light in the cathedral because flash would have been too obtrusive. I also shot with a telephoto lens from a side entrance at the front of the church.
