Dense fog advisory

The National Weather Service has extended a dense fog advisory for the region until early Thursday afternoon.

Dense fog has formed over northern Indiana, northwest Ohio and southern Michigan. Visibility is a 100 yards or less in some areas.

A combination of fog and temperatures falling below freezing may result in patchy ice on pavement, the weather service said.

Drivers should slow down, use headlights and leave plenty of distance between vehicles.
