The Komets found Stephon Thorne in the stands. Then, he scored a goal.
After getting a game misconduct -- and having it reversed to a 10-minute misconduct -- for taking his equipment off in a fight, he made it 4-2 late in the second period at Memorial Coliseum.
Komets president Michael Franke quipped, "In the 60 years of Komets hockey, this is the first time a player has received a game misconduct and still been able to score."
The Komets also got a goal in the period from Frankie DeAngelis, his second of the night.
This is only the sixth game between Fort Wayne and Arizona, and they've had 12 fights, including three tonight.
