  • Mad Ants tough start continues

  • Porter out tonight at Erie
Mad Ants captain Chris Porter is out of the lineup tonight at Erie, Pennsylvania, with an elbow injury. Titus Rubles will take his place on the active roster.

Turnstiles keep turning

Here's the thing about the Mad Ants: If you don't like a certain player, wait around a bit; chances are he'll be gone.

Three players were waived Monday - two of them by injury. Sean Sonderleiter and Sadiel Rojas were waived becasue of injury. Rojas, with a back problem, is likely out for the season. Also cut was 7-foot-1 center Mike Tisdale.

Three players were added to the roster, including guard Devan Downey, who is coming back after an ankle injury that put him in a walking boot.

The Ants pulled two guys off the NBA D-League scrap heap, aka the player pool. Kevin Coble, a 6-8 forward who played at Northwestern, and 6-9 forward Ben McCauley, who played at North Carolina State. They, along with Downey, will be in uniform when the Ants play at Erie on Tuesday.
