Mad Ants at Erie

When: 7 p.m. today

Where: Erie, Pa.

Records: Mad Ants 10-25, Erie 15-17

Web cast:

Mad Ants leaders: Ron Howard (20.6 ppg), Darnell Lazare (7.6 rpg), Tory Jackson (3.2 apg)

Erie leaders: Keith McLeod (16.6 ppg), D.J. Kennedy (7.2 rpg), McLeod (6.9 apg)

Key matchup: Thanks to the NBA All-Star Weekend, a time in which the D-League also takes a break, the Mad Ants have gotten some much-needed time off. The only Ants who participated in the D-League All-Star festivities in Orlando were Lazare, who made the all-star team, and rookie guard Cam Jones, who participated in a shooting event.

The skinny: The losing streak is at nine for the Ants, who haven’t won in the month of February. Included in the losing streak is a 113-106 home loss to the BayHawks, a team that has also turned its roster over several times. The Mad Ants added two players in 6-foot-8 forward Kevin Coble, who played at Northwestern, and 6-9 forward Ben McCauley, who played at North Carolina State. Also returning to the team is guard Devan Downey, who had been out with an ankle injury. The Ants put Sean Sonderleiter and Sadiel Rojas on the injured waivered list, and waived 7-1 center Mike Tisdale because of personal reasons.
