OK, so I know they put up a billboard and everything.
But I keep hearing all this buzz about Peyton Manning going off to Miami once the Colts release him next week, and I have to say, no offense, but since when did Miami become an NFL "destination"? Did I fall asleep and miss the part where the Dolphins magically transformed into a Super Bowl contender overnight?
Here's the upside for Peyton to go to Miami: It's warm.
Here's the downside: They were 6-10 last year .... they play in the same division as the Patriots (and Jets, should they regain their form) .... they have a new head coach who's never been a head coach before .... they play in the same division as the Patriots and/or Jets.
Figured that bore mentioning twice.
Seriously, does anyone look at the Dolphins and think they're just a possibly-damaged Hall of Fame quarterback away from the Super Bowl? And if not, why would Peyton go there, considering a likely motivation for him is to get one more crack at a ring?
Don't. Get it.
