And above the celebratory music, the Memorial Coliseum public address announcer shouted those three, little words, "Mad Ants win!"
A 10-game losing streak came tumbling down Friday when the Ants rallied from a 16-point first-quarter deficit to defeat Dakota 116-115.
Rookie guard Cam Jones' two free throws with 6.4 seconds remaining gave the Ants a one-point lead, then Fort Wayne withstood the final, missed shot by Dakota guard Maurice Baker.
The Ants (11-26) took a 114-113 lead with 11.8 seconds left on Ron Howard's jumper from the left corner, but Dakota (19-15) regained the lead 115-114 on Stefhon Hannon's 7-foot floater out front with 8.7 seconds left.
Jones finished with 21 points, and Ron Howard had 27 for the Ants, who play Los Angeles on Saturday at the Coliseum. Marcus Dove had 22 points for Dakota.
