    Boilermakers center Robert Kugler was placed on the watch list for the Rimington Trophy, given annually to the nation's top player at that position.
  • South end zone at Ross-Ade becomes fun zone
    With nearly 6,000 bleacher seats removed, the south end zone at Ross-Ade Stadium is being turned into a patio area that serves alcohol and food during games, Purdue announced Tuesday.

Purdue leads at halftime

Purdue leads Nebraska 39-31 at halftime Thursday in an opening round Big Ten tournament game at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Anthony Johnson has 10 points. Ryne Smith has 9 points.

The Boilermakers went on a 17-0 run midway through the first half. Johnson had seven points during the stretch. Robbie Hummel, Johnson and D.J. Byrd hit three-pointers in the spurt, as Purdue went from down four to ahead by 13.
