Open house for congressional hopeful

David Sowards, who seeks the Democratic nomination for Congress in Indiana's 3rd District, will have an "Open House - Meet the Candidate Party" from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at his Fort Wayne home, 548 Home Ave.

Sowards said he will discuss issues, answer questions and distribute copies of his speeches and autobiography. Food and refreshments will be available.

Sowards is among six candidates for the Democratic nomination. The winner of the May 8 primary election will face Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-3rd, in the Nov. 6 general election.
