And Another Thing

Wisconsin wins

Well, at least they didn't get beat by just anybody.

I mean, Rob Wilson -- 6-foot-4 senior guard, Cleveland, Ohio -- did only score 27 more points than his season average for the Wisconsin Badgers today.

He came in averaging 10 minutes and 3.1 points per game, so it wasn't Indiana didn't know who he was. Surely those three career double-figure games should have put him on the Hoosiers' radar, right?

And, OK, so the sarcasm train is parked, and so are the Hoosiers. And if Wilson coming out of nowhere wasn't enough to scream that it just wasn't their day, then all the shots that jittered away unblessed at the rim -- nobody's missed that many bunnies since Elmer Fudd -- certainly was the closing argument.

And so, Wisky 79, Indiana 71. And one saving grace for the Hoosiers: For the first time in five years, their season didn't just end. It's on to the NCAA tournament now.

So they've got that going for 'em.
