Ohio State eliminates Purdue

Jared Sullinger had 30 points and 12 rebounds as Ohio State defeated Purdue 88-71 in a Big Ten quarterfinal Friday in Indianapolis.

Bishop Luers graduate Deshaun Thomas scored 22 points for the Buckeyes.

Purdue trailed 65-61 with 6:30 remaining. Ohio State then went on a 14-0 run to put the game out of reach.

D.J. Byrd scored 20 points to lead the Boilermakers. Terone Johnson scored 15 points.
