Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority is pleased to announce the return of non-stop service to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina via Allegiant. The seasonal service between Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA) and Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) will begin on Thursday, May 17, 2012, but travelers can already begin booking their vacations.
Allegiant will operate two flights per week, departing FWA on Thursdays and Sundays at 3:40 p.m. and arriving at MYR at 5:15 p.m. Return service from MYR will depart at 6:00 p.m. and arrive into FWA at 7:40 p.m.
“We’re delighted that Allegiant has chosen to offer this seasonal, non-stop service to our passengers again this summer,” said Torrance Richardson, Executive Director of Airports for the Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority. “The region’s travelers supported the Myrtle Beach service last year, and now have the opportunity to again enjoy this great low-fare destination from Fort Wayne to the Grand Strand.”
Allegiant began service between Fort Wayne International Airport and Myrtle Beach International Airport in April 2010. The service has been very successful – over 17,000 Allegiant passengers have flown between the two airports since the route began.
