Gathering of Quilters set for St. Patrick's Day

National Quilt Day will be celebrated in Northeast Indiana Saturday with a Gathering of Quilters at the Kruse Automotive and Carriage Museum in Auburn beginning at 8 a.m.

The host for this year's event is Noble Nimble Thimbles Quilt Guild of Noble County. Quilters from all over the Midwest will attend.

The Gathering is an opportunity for quilters to come together and spend a day immersed in their craft.

The speaker this year is Edyta Sytar who will talk about about her life as an award willing quilter and designer. Sytar designs fabrics for MODA Fabrics and has her own company, Laundry Basket Quilts. Her speech is entitled "Why I Quilt" and will include a trunk show of her quilts.

While preregistration is preferred, tickets to the event are available at the door and all quilters or those who desire to be are welcome to attend.
