FORT WAYNE – The Allen County Coroner's Office has identified a 7-week-old baby who was discovered not breathing Monday morning in an apartment on the city's southeast side.
An autopsy was conducted on Tavarus Carpenter, and the results are pending further medical testing and investigation, the coroner's office said.
It said the death remains under investigation.
Fort Wayne police responded at 11:42 a.m. Monday to a home in the 7900 block of Serenity Drive, where paramedics were attempting to treat the unresponsive infant.
