Wiping the floor

Don't be surprised if there are a few delays during tonight's Mad Ants game against Erie.

An hour before the game, the Memorial Coliseum floor was frequently being wiped with towels due to the condensation forming on the surface. The combination warm temperature outside and the ice beneath the floor is causing the problem, which could cause delays in the game that begins at 7 p.m.

Should be interesting to watch Vernon Macklin, the newly-acquired 6-foot-10 center on loan from the Detroit Pistons.

Macklin will be making his first appearance as a Mad Ant after being sent here March 11 from the Pistons, where he averaged 1.4 points and four minutes of playing time.
