The Carroll Charger softball team will be holding their first "Meet the Team Night" dinner and silent auction from 5-9 p.m. Saturday. The special guest speaker will be Hunter Smith, former Indianapolis Colts and Notre Dame punter.

The event will be in the school cafeteria. Doors open at 5 p.m. with Smith scheduled to speak at 7 p.m. After his presentation the 2012 Carroll softball team will be introduced.

A silent auction will be held in conjunction with the dinner event. The silent auction is open to the public with public bids being accepted from 6-8:30 p.m., the auction will close at 8:50 p.m.

Tickets for the speaking event may be purchased at the door for $20. Tickets purchased at the door will not include a meal.

All proceeds from the dinner and silent auction will go to the Carroll softball team.

All interested parties are asked to enter the school through the south entrance door No. 13.
