Mistrial in lawsuit over firing


A judge has declared a mistrial in Nicollette Sheridan’s wrongful termination case after jurors could not reach a verdict on the claims of the former star of “Desperate Housewives.”

Superior Court Judge Elizabeth Allen White released the panel Monday after they reported they were deadlocked.

The group deliberated for more than two days on Sheridan’s claim that her Edie Britt character was killed off in retaliation for her complaints that series creator Marc Cherry struck her on the show’s set in September 2008.

Rapper cited

Lil Wayne has been told to cut his grass.

The (New Orleans) Times-Picayune reports the rapper was cited for high grass and weeds at his 10,000-square-foot mansion in a gated subdivision in Kenner, La.

The Code Enforcement Department issued the ticket sometime between Feb. 26 and March 2, according to a list released by the city.

The home is on sale for $1.7 million.

Beyoncé returns

Beyoncé is set to return to the stage for the first time since giving birth in January.

The Grammy winner will perform three concerts in New Jersey in May at Atlantic City’s Revel Resorts. Revel said Monday that the shows will be held over Memorial Day weekend.
