IU down 3 at halftime

Kentucky leads Indiana 50-47 at halftime of a South Rsemifinal Friday at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

Christian Watford helped the Hoosiers erase a nine-point deficit by heating up late in the first half. He leads IU with 17 points.

IU is shooting 58.1 percent from the floor. The Hoosiers have had to go long stretches without Cody Zeller, Jordan Hulls and Victor Oladipo. Each has two fouls.

Kentucky's Anthony Davis collected his second foul with 14:05 left in the first half. He sat the rest of the half. Terrence Jones and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist also have two fouls for Kentucky. Jones has 12 points (he had four in the Dec. 10 meeting). Kidd-Gilchrist has 11 points.

Both teams have scored 24 points in the paint.

Watford score 11 points during a 13-4 run that gave the Hoosiers a 43-39 lead with 3:29 left in the half. Kentucky closed the half on an 11-4 run.
