Mad Ants lose another game

The Mad Ants lost their seventh straight game, falling on the road 96-82 to the Idaho Stampede on Friday.

Fort Wayne (11-33) has lost 17 of its last 18 games. Idaho (18-27) had dropped six of its last seven games.

For Fort Wayne, Darnell Lazare led the way with 17.points, while Stephen Graham and Vernon Macklin had 14 and Anthony Goods and Charles Garcia 10 apiece.

Macklin had 19 rebounds, while Lazare got 10 boards. The Mad Ants outrebounded the Stampede 56-40.

For Idaho, Marcus Banks scored 21 points and Tony Bobbitt 19.

The Mad Ants opened the fourth quarter on an 11-2 run to get within 81-74, but couldn’t get any closer. Idaho went up 79-63 entering the fourth quarter with a 34-16 advantage in the third.

The Mad Ants were down 30-19 after the first, but rallied to lead 47-45 at halftime by outscoring the Stampede 28-15 in the second.
