INDIANAPOLIS -- It was magical run for the Norwell Knights this season, even if it did in a 64-48 loss to Guerin Catholic in the Class 3A state championship game.
So where does it all go from here?
Well, the Knights will have to replace four graduating starters -- Garrett Bucher, Grant Baker, Kyle Fillman and Caleb Featherston -- who averaged better than 41 points combined. That's the bad news.
The good news is, they have a couple of solid pieces to build around. Start with point guard Josh Van Meter, who led the team in scoring at 18.7 points per game and also chipped in 5.5 assists per. Also back will be sharpshooting lefty David Vogel, who averaged 6.8 points and shot 50 percent from three-point range as Norwell's sixth man.
