IU recruit stars in Class 2A final

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana recruit Kevin “Yogi” Ferrell had 17 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds to help Indianapolis Park Tudor defeat Gary Bowman Academy 79-57 on Saturday in the Class 2A final at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Ferrell tied the all-class record for most assists in a championship game.

Trevon Bluiett had 25 points and Manhattan recruit Paul Bayt had for the Panthers (25-2). Bayt set a Class 2A finals record with six 3-pointers.

Park Tudor shot 56 percent from the field and set a record for points in a Class 2A final. It was also the largest margin of victory in a 2A final.

IUPUI recruit Elijah Ray led Bowman Academy with 14 points, Michael Ford scored 13 and DePaul recruit DeJuan Marrero added 12 for the Eagles.
