New Haven's Al Gooden and Homestead's Chris Johnson were named as Indiana Basketball Coaches Association District I Coaches of the Year.
Gooden led the Bulldogs to a 17-4 record in his first season with the program. Gooden spent 21 years at the now-closed Harding before moving over to New Haven.
It's the most wins for the program since the 1995-96 team won 19.
Johnson helped the Spartans to a 23-3 season with a NHC and sectional championship and a regional runner-up finish to eventual Class 4A state champion Carmel.
The 23 wins set a school record for wins in a season.
Johnson was an IBCA District I Coach of the Year in 2010 and will be an assistant coach for the Indiana All-Stars this summer.
