Shooter's Comments: I got to ride in an airplane! It's always a good day when you get to take a spontaneous ride on a plane.
I was covering Smith Field Airport's 12 unit T-hangar celebration. I took a variety of different shots from the ground, but then a pilot named Joel asked if I wanted to take a ride. Of course, I wasn't going to turn him down.
We went up and I got some pretty nice aerials of the hangar and a few shots of the downtown area.
The last time I was in a plane doing aerials was when I was pregnant. This time it was just me and I still got a little nauseous up in the air. The pilot was great at flying around the hangar and tilting the plane just right. Shooting with your camera, and having uneven air, I guess, would make anyone feel a little ill. However, it was a great day to fly, the visibility was beautiful. Check out a few of my selects.
