Bercaw takes 3rd place in state Geography Bee

A Fort Wayne seventh-grader took third place in the 2012 annual Indiana State Geographic Bee conducted Friday in Indianapolis.

Ian Bercaw is a student at Woodside Middle School.

A Granger homeschooled eighth-grader won Bee at IUPUI, and will advance to represent Indiana in the national championships May 22-24 in Washington, D.C.

The second-place winner was Jacob Hall, a seventh-grader at Rensselaer Central Middle School.
