FORT WAYNE – A Fort Wayne woman on a city bus was wounded Monday after pulling a steak knife on another passenger, police said.
The Fort Wayne Police Department said Nyelah M. Hayes got on the bus at Spy Run Avenue at Lawton Place shortly before 10:30 a.m. and that Juwan Jones made a comment about her. She pulled out the knife and got a minor cut on the hand during the struggle, the police said.
Hayes, 29, was charged with disorderly conduct, attempted battery and criminal recklessness.
Police said Jones, 33, of Fort Wayne was able to disarm. Hayes.
