And Another Thing

The dog ate your what?!

We've all tried it, right? The old the-dog-ate-my-homework ploy?

Well, here's a tale (tail?) that turns that one right on its head.

Now, I can sympathize, because several years ago, when my 100-pound Labradoodle was a shambling paddle-footed puppy, she actually chewed the cable box off the side of the house the night of the BCS national championship game. So when I flipped on the TV that evening, all I got was snow.

And not the soft, white, fluffy variety.

So, anyway, the best part of this story for me is not that the dog ate this guy's Masters tickets. The best part is the guy actually induced the dog to urp them back up, then picked the pieces out of dog vomit and put them back together so he could send a photo of the evidence to the Masters people and get replacement tickets.

Here's the kicker to that kicker: The tickets weren't even for the tournament itself. They were for a practice round.

Now there's a man who loves his golf.

Ben Smith's blog.
