Ohio town seeking unique crafters for downtown shopping

Unique crafters and artists are being sought by the Paulding Chamber of Commerce to rent booth space in two vacant business buildings downtown.

The chamber hopes to fill the space and offer the opportunity for crafters and artists to show off their talents.

Chamber Executive Director Erika Willitzer hopes to have at least 30 vendors displaying their items Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.a nd Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a news release.

Willitzer's hope is to have the shops ready by John Paulding Days (June 7-9) and she said, in the release, that she wants to make the process for this vision as easy as possible.

The chamber will provide a worker for the store so vendors wouldn't have to tend to their products, but there would be special weekend events so vendors could speak with customers.

There is a choice of three different contracts: monthly, three months or six months. Booth space ranges from four-by-four to eight-by-eight and the cost is $50 to $100 per month depending on the amount of space and the contract signed.
