TinCaps lead after six innings

Fort Wayne continues to hold a 2-1 lead against Lake County Thursday at Parkview Field.

Fort Wayne starting pitcher Frank Garces struck out nine batters. He allowed one run, unearned, on three hits. The lefty got out of a jam inn the sixth inning, striking out Alex Monsalve and Jordan Smith with a runner on third to end the inning.

Jace Peterson has two hits. He knocked in both runs for the TinCaps with a double in the third inning.
