It's opening day at Parkview Field.

The TinCaps begin the 2012 season against Lake County.

Frank Garces will start for Fort Wayne. He replaces Cody Hebner, who suffered an ankle injury earlier in the week.

Garces, 22, signed as a minor league free agent with San Diego in May of 2011. He pitched in the Dominican Summer League, where he had a 4-3 record with a 2.51 ERA. He struck out 115 while walking 20.

Fort Wayne's lineup includes five left-handed batters. There are four players who have previously played in Fort Wayne in the lineup (Donavan Tate, Jose Dore, Corey Adamson and Alberth Martinez).
