TinCaps lead after six innings

Fort Wayne leads Lake County 7-2 after six innings Friday at Parkview Field.

Jace Peterson started the fifth inning with a double. He moved to third on a sacrifice bunt and later scored when Zach Kometani hit into a double play to give the TinCaps a 3-1 lead.

Lake County scored a run in the sixth inning, making it 3-2.

Fort Wayne answered with four runs in the bottom of the sixth. Peterson drove in a run with a single. Donavan Tate knocked in two more with a single to center field. Casey McElroy had an RBI sacrifice fly to make it 7-2.
