Everyone knew the Mad Ants roster would look different, even in the wake of the team's first D-League championship.

The final weekend

And so it comes down to this: two more games and two more chances to leave the Mad Ants wanting more for the 2012-13 season.

A season to forget will be exactly that once the Ants play Dakota tonight and Saturday at the Memorial Coliseum, ending the worst season in franchise history.

Already, the 35 losses this season are two more than the team's previous worst, when the Ants were 17-33 in their first season of 2007-08.

Dakota (28-20) has something at stake for this weekend. The Wizards lead the East Conference, but have just a one-game lead over Erie and Springfield, both with 27-21 records.

The last time inside Memorial Coliseum, Dakota lost to the Ants 116-115, which halted a 10-game losing streak. Oddly enough, the Ants are 2-1 against Dakota this season.
