Cucumber bush seedling were accidentally left out over night.

3rd night of frost

I think my cherry tree made it through two more nights of frost. I wrapped it in sheets and saw quite a bit of frost on the ground Saturday morning. I also brought in my blueberry bush each night. I am hoping for some fruit this summer.

Despite all the care I gave to my plants that are outdoors, I managed to accidentally leave out my frail young cucumber seedlings, all 10 of them all night long. They were next to the house so the frost didn’t hit them, but 30 degrees was too much. They looked really limp when I brought them back in the house.

Fortunately the cucumber bush plants germinate fast so I started more 8 plants from seed.

Several hours later the cucumber plants I thought I had killed, started to look like they were going to survive. Now it looks like I am going to end up with 18 cucumber bush plants.

I think this is the plant I am going to be gifting to friends, neighbors, and my fellow We’re Digging It bloggers.
