Septic expert to give seminars

A free informational seminar on septic systems and large scale sewage treatment facilities will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Steuben Community Center, 317 S. Wayne St., Angola, and again April 14 at 9:30 a.m.April 14 at Grabill Fudergong, 13720 First St., Grabill.

The two-hour seminar will be led by soil specialist James VonMeier, a Minnesota researcher and educator. VonMeier believes a properly designed and maintained septic system can treat wastewater better than a multimillion dollar treatment facility and will last indefinitely at a fraction of the cost.

The classes are part of a statewide educational effort sponsored by Indiana Freedoms, the North Otter Lakes Association of Steuben County and the Concerned Citizens of Daviess County.

Walk-ins are welcome, but seating will be limited. For more information, call Dan Thiele at 739-2930 or email aquadan65@gmail.com.
