There is a possibility the American Hockey League's Lake Erie Monsters and Grand Rapids Griffins will play an exhibition game at Memorial Coliseum on Oct. 4.
  • Szydlowski returns to Komets
Right wing Shawn Szydlowski has agreed to terms and will return to the Komets in 2014-15, the club announced today.

Starenky back in

Based on who is on the ice for warm-ups, it looks as if the Komets have decided to play six defensemen, even though Brent Henley is suspended for one game for kneeing Collin Circelli in Game 4 of the Turner Conerence semifinals.

David Starenky is back on the ice and rookie Daniel Maggio is there, too. That means Tom Mele will be the scratch. Interesting decision, since Mele has played so well.

Also, it looks as if the Rapid City Rush are starting Tim Boron, who got yanked Thursday, instead of Kevin Beech.
