U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts on Friday told graduates of the northern Indiana Catholic boarding school he graduated from 40 years ago that persistence is the most essential quality to success and is the only trait each personINDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Environmental Management will hold a series of open house meetings across the state to discuss changes in water pollution regulations with farmers.
The agency says the new rules effective July 1 change the type of permit required for confined feeding operations and concentrated animal feeding operations.
The rule changes also restrict land application of manure based on phosphorus limits, and application on frozen ground.
Agency staff will be available to answer questions and advise farmers on how to comply with the new regulations.
The meetings will be held Monday at the Carroll County 4-H Building in Flora; Thursday at the Huntington County Courthouse in Huntington; April 16 at the Decatur County Extension Office in Greensburg; and April 18 at the Dubois County Fairgrounds in Huntingburg.
