The Week Ahead

Curtis Smith

Back to normal?

After one of the more incredible months we’ve ever seen in Fort Wayne, April is bringing us back to reality. Or at least that’s how it seems.

This may surprise you, but April has been about 7 degrees above normal, so far. It just seems like it has been much cooler than that, because March was a mind-boggling 14.2 degrees above normal.

By the end of this week, April’s numbers won’t just seem like normal ones, they actually will be. Thanks to another shot of cooler air, we are still getting a spring. It’s just coming after a month of summer.

Weather wise: Ironically, this week’s cooler air will come from a source we didn’t see often during winter: a Canadian high. It will produce sunny and chilly days that feel like March.
