Smith not in Rapid City for Game 6

RAPID CITY, S.D, -- Komets center Brett Smith didn't make the trip to Rapid City for Game 6 of the Turner Conference semifinals.

He aggravated the neck injury suffered in Game 1's hit from behind by Jeff Kyrzakos, which didn't draw a penalty.

"I don't know if he's day-to-day. I just don't know," Komets general manager David Franke said. "I don't know if he'll be available for the next game if we don't get the job done in Rapid City."

The Komets lead 3-2, and Game 7 would be Thursday at Memorial Coliseum.
