INDIANAPOLIS – A new annual faculty salary shows professors at Indiana University have moved back ahead of those at Purdue University when it comes to salary.
The Indianapolis Business Journal reports (http://bit.ly/IbGLw8) that full professors at the Indiana University earn an average of $128,400 after receiving about a 6 percent increase this year after a pay freeze was lifted. Full professors at Purdue, who had moved ahead of their IU counterparts a year earlier, earn an average of $125,100.
The American Association of University Professors released the faculty salary data on Monday. The highest-paid full professors in Indiana are at the University of Notre Dame, where professors at the private school earn $150,200 a year on average.
