FORT WAYNE – At the end of the first inning, Bishop Dwenger led Homestead by a run.
The lead was short-lived, as Homestead claimed a 30-1 baseball victory at Bishop Dwenger on Tuesday.
Led by Brandon Soat’s four hits and seven RBI, the Spartans had 28 hits and drove in 26 runs in their second lopsided game in as many days. Monday, Homestead defeated Marion 20-4.
Adding to the Homestead offensive assault was Jake Weber, who had three hits and four RBI, while Austin Plasterer had three hits, three RBI and four runs scored.
Soat also limited Dwenger to two hits and struck out 10.
NORTHROP 10, DEKALB 0: Colin Brockhouse threw a two-hitter for visiting Northrop, and the host Barons committed six errors.
NEW HAVEN 4, SOUTH SIDE 2: At South Side, New Haven scored single runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings to win.
SNIDER 13, EAST NOBLE 3: Host Snider erupted for eight runs in the first inning, then finished off East Noble with four in the bottom of the fifth.
WEST NOBLE 14, HAMILTON 4: Korey Kendall had two hits and three RBI and Bo Lutton had three hits and scored three runs in West Noble’s home victory.
BISHOP LUERS 4, NEW HAVEN 1: Samantha Rahrig, at No. 1 singles, and Abby Oberly, at No. 3, won their matches 6-0, 6-0 for host Luers.
FREMONT 4, PRAIRIE HEIGHTS 1: Rebecca Noyes won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles to pace Fremont.
LAKEWOOD PARK 20, NEW HAVEN 0: Lakewood Park pitcher Mikeila Boroff threw a no-hitter and struck out 12 for the host Panthers.
Jamie Budreau added a home run and four RBI.
WOODLAN 11, ADAMS CENTRAL 1: Hannah Robbins gave up one hit and struck out eight for visiting Woodlan.
NEW HAVEN 75, DEKALB 67, BELLMONT 25: New Haven’s Andrew Hoffer and Elliott Nelson were double-winners in the Bulldogs’ home win.
BLACKHAWK 179, NORTHROP 180: Keegan Williams had a 42 for Blackhawk and Aaron Hohman had the same for Northrop on the back nine at Cherry Hill.
