The cherry tree is bundled up for a deep freeze Tuesday night.

Two cold nights in a row

A deep freeze is hard to protect my cherry tree from. I heard from a master gardener that the best can do is cover the tree with a tarp and hope for the best.

I have covered my tree two nights in a row and will hope for the best. If I end up with cherries this season then I guess it worked.

My blueberry bush is in a pot so I brought it in for the night. Outwardly everything looks OK. It isn't going to be that warm the next few days, but at least we are over the frost and freeze for now.
