Dana seeks abatement for new equipment

Dana Light Axle Products is planning a $4.2 million equipment investment at its Fort Wayne location, 2100 W. State Blvd.

The company filed paperwork with the city earlier this week to receive a 10-year abatement that would save the business more than $267,000. The matter will come before City Council members April 24.

The project will result in five new jobs.

Dana makes axles, drive shafts, transmissions and other products for light- and heavy-duty vehicle manufacturers.
